The Quran Legacy

Since revelation from the heavens upon the mountain of Hira until the present, this Legacy has been preserved by the Angels of God and by the hearts of men that have memorized every letter and the scholars who inherit and pass on the understanding of it. This Ramadan be a part of the legacy lectures as we invite speakers from around the world to share with us the stories of one Juz daily.

Ramadan will be the start of our journey and everyday a speaker will cover stories and lessons from the Juz of Qur’an that is to be recited that evening in salah-tul-taraweh reflecting upon key lessons and concepts we can take away for more eman, khushu’ and nearness to Allah.

Each show will be followed by a Q&A after show where viewers will get the chance to send in question and be part of the show by sharing their stories and connections to the Juz.

We encourage viewers to make this a daily family gathering and a chance to make this Ramadan the catalyst toward a deeper journey into understanding the Quran.

Shaykh Sajid Umar

Sheikh Sajid Umar is a qualified Mufti and Judge, as well as an educator, author, researcher, and developer with a vision of ignited communities that benefit humanity upon the ethos of sincerity, excellence and steadfastness.

Shaykh Riad Ouarzazi

Shaykh Riad Ouarzazi was born in Casablanca, Morocco and, after achieving Islamic education degrees from M. Abdullah University, he moved to the States in 1988, pursued a Bachelors in Intl Mngt and a Master’s of Science in CIS.

Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan

Nouman Ali Khan is a Pakistani-American. Muslim speaker, theologian and Arabic instructor who founded the Bayyinah Institute for Arabic and Qur’anic Studies after serving as an instructor of Arabic at Nassau Community College.

Shaykh Yunus Dudhwala

Shaykh Yunus Dudhwala is currently a Chaplain at a hospital in East London. He has been an Imam in the local community at various mosques and is a regular speaker at Islamic Events

Dr. Ahmed Ibn Saifuddin

Dr Ahmad ibn Saifuddin has been affluent in the field of Media and Da’wah across the globe since past four decades. B.A. in Arabic and Literature from Al-Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 1975. M.A. from California State University, (Communication Studies), 1976 and a PhD from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN, USA, 1988 (Mass Communication).

Dr Aysha Wazwaz

Dr. Aysha Wazwaz, born in Minnesota USA 1979. Founder of Gems of Light -a non profit organization dedicated to educating women on Islamic education. Chaplain and a Muslim adviser at St. Catherine University.

Imam Siraj Wahhaj

Siraj Wahhaj is an African-American imam of Al-Taqwa mosque in Brooklyn, New York and the leader of The Muslim Alliance in North America. He was also the former vice-president of the Islamic Society of North America.

Shaykh Omar Suleiman

Imam Omar Suleiman is the Founder and President of the Yaqeen Institute for Islamic Research, and an Adjunct Professor of Islamic Studies in the Graduate Liberal Studies Program at SMU (Southern Methodist University). He is also the Resident Scholar at Valley Ranch Islamic Center and Co-Chair Emeritus of Faith Forward Dallas at Thanks-Giving Square.

Dr Mohamed Masloh

Dr. Mohamed Masloh was the first Imam to offer the opening prayers at the Legislative Assembly in Saskatchewan in 2018. He is the first RCMP Chaplain in Canada 2020. Dr. Masloh has a 30-episode Show on Huda TV. He obtained professional Ijâzahs in Quran, Hadith, Aqeedah and Fiqh from scholars of different schools of thought.

Shaykh Afdal Feroz

Sh Afdal Feroz was born and raised in the USA. He undertook the traditional style of learning Islam and embarked on his Quranic memorization at the age of 9 following this with his Alim course studies.

Imam Yahya Adel Ibrahim

…is the Director of Islamic Community Service; A/Principal of the Langford Islamic College, Perth and is Curtin University & University of Western Australia’s Muslim chaplain and sits on the Human Research Ethics Committee at St Charles Gairdner Hospital for Western Australian Health Services. His initiatives in Australia and internationally include diversity training, cultural sensitivity programs, educational lectures, and media presentations. In recognition of his valuable contribution, Imam Yahya was awarded the West Australian Multicultural Community Service Award for Individual Excellence.

Dr Mustafa Khattab

Dr. Mustafa Khattab is a Canadian-Egyptian authority on interpreting the Quran. He was a member of the first team that translated ‎the Ramadan night prayers (Tarawîḥ) live from the Sacred Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madînah (2002-2005).

Dr Khalid Khan

Dr. Khalid Khan is a prominent scholar, well known for his Q&A sessions on Islam Channel. He has studied extensively in the fields of Fiqh and Aqeedah.

Shaykh Abu Usamah At-Thahabi

Abu Usamah at-Thahabi is an Imam at Green Lane Masjid in Birmingham, England. An American national, he converted to Islam and studied at the University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia, an Islamic school popular with converts and international students.

Shaykh Dr Haitham Al-Haddad

… is a jurist and UK based Scholar who currently serves as the Chair of the Fatwa Committee for The Islamic Council of Europe. He has studied Islamic sciences for over 20 years under the tutelage of renowned scholars. He obtained his doctorate on the jurisprudence of Muslim Minorities from SOAS. He specialises in many of the Islamic sciences and, together with his academic background, has an ocean of experience in helping people use Islamic principles as solutions for their everyday lives.

Ustadh Asif Uddin

Ustadh Asif Uddin was born and raised in the UK and graduated in Business and Information Technology from the University of North London. He further pursued a Masters in Information System at Brunel University. He has been heavily involved in the Da’wah from the time he was at university. He is a keen Student of Knowledge and has studied the Islamic sciences in Mauritania, Egypt and Qatar, and continues that journey today.

Imam Zainadine Johnson

…or “The surfing Imam”, a promising rugby player until he moved to the coast to follow his dreams of becoming a professional surfer. Yemen where he studied at the notorious Al Eman Islamic University for six years, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, and Indonesia. After returning to his home town to lead the Islamic community with a surfboard in hand the Surfing Imam is also known for his exciting television programs and different style of conveying the message of Islam.

Shaykh Bilal Ismael

…was born in Durban, South Africa. He memorized the Quran while studying at school and went on to complete high school in 1998. Islamic University of Madinah in 2001 where he completed his Diploma in Arabic followed by a BA in Islamic Law from the faculty of Shariah. He is currently completing his masters degree. After graduating from Madinah, he returned to South Africa where he had been teaching Fiqh and Tafsir weekly classes in Durban.

Ustadh Gabriel al Romani

Gabriel Al Romaani, the co-founder of ICRAA.org, was born in Romania to a Christian family. He migrated to Canada in 1998 where he undertook his secondary education. After studying Islam for some years, he converted in 2003.

Shaykh Sulaiman Moola

…began studying the sacred sciences at an early age. After having completed the memorization of the Quran at the age of 14, for the next seven years he would go on to study Arabic [and all its related sciences becoming especially fluent in Arabic poetry], Tafsir, Hadith, Aqidah and Fiqh [specializing in the Hanafi School]. Having studied under senior ulama from South Africa and the Indian Subcontinent and receiving ijazah, he went on to teach at the well known Islamic seminary in South Africa, Dar al-Uloom Zakariyya.

Shaykh Ruzwan Mohammed

Shaykh Ruzwan Mohammed is a Sunni theologian and scholar. A graduate in Geopolitics and Arabic from the University of Glasgow, in 1993 he left to travel and study with a wide array of leading scholars and theologians in various countries in the Muslim world.

Dr Yusuf Abdul Jobbar

is an academic with over 15 years of experience and is currently a visiting lecturer at the Knowledge International University (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia). He is a Certified Shari’ah Advisor & Auditor who has authored books, written journal articles, hosted and presented at many conferences around the world. Dr Yusuf Abdul-Jobbar is an Imam & Scholar who lecturers internationally and has taught classes in Masjid An-Nabawi – Madinah (Islam’s second holiest mosque & centre of learning).

Ustadh Jalal Ibn Saeed

Jalal Ibn Sa’eed Mohabbat (a.k.a. abu Eid) was born in Afghanistan and grew up in the southern belt of the United States, in Houston, Texas. He is the founder of Al Fitrah Academy as well as the UK’s official Eid Celebration Committee which revived the essence and sunnah of Eid in Europe. He is head of IT for a logistics and fulfilment company while very affluent in Da’wah projects and supports various charities. An American lecturer who has been resident in the UK since 2000.

Sheikh Dr Abu Ibrahim

…has completed his PhD in Law. His research focused on British Muslims and the practice of Islamic family law, in particular, Islamic marriage and divorce. He has completed his Alim course, BSc, and MA in Islamic Studies. He holds certificates in family and relationship counselling.

Shaykh Wasim Kempson

Sheikh Wasim Kempson was born and raised in London U.K he accepted Islam in 1994 then three years later he went on to study at Madinah University. IQRA tv (Arabic & English), Islam Channel and Huda tv and is currently an Imam at Norbury Muslim Centre in London.

Shaykh Muhammad Tarawneh

Ustadh Muhammed Tarawneh is currently in the UK preparing a PhD in Mathematics at a London university. He has studied Islam extensively in Fiqh, Aqeedah and Usuol over a number of years with Sheikh Omar al-Batoosh (student of Sheikh Albani and Ali al-Halabi)

Ustadh Asim Khan

… is currently the Imam of Redbridge Islamic Centre, Instructor for the Sabeel institute, & author for Islam21c.com. He has gained a Masters in Pharmacy from the University College London, UK, as well as studying Arabic and Quranic Sciences in Cairo, Egypt. He appears regularly on Islam Channel’s religious programming & is currently presenting the Dreamer show for Eman Channel.

Sheikh Khalid Yasin

Born in Brooklyn, during the changing 50’s and grew with wisdom during the Malcolm X days amongst a background of civil rights, struggle for freedom and equality, Sh. Khalid Yasin has always been well trained to speak out in times of inequality while never accepting that anything came without hard work and firm resolve.
